"The 2017 Companies versus Climate Change conference was the best sustainability conference I have ever attended. Great content from Sustainability leaders sharing best practices and exceptional speakers that really helped me think differently about what I do as a sustainability professional. Fantastic opportunity to network with like-minded professionals and learn from experts. Can't wait until next year."
Sue Valascho, Global Corporate Social Responsibility and Compliance Analyst, Autolov
Companies Vs. Climate Change was nice a balance of content and connecting. The companies attending are well curated and the programming and intimate setting elicit candid insights and provide good opportunities to continue the conversations started in sessions. The event kept providing ample networking opportunities. I think CvCC has a good balance, with a nice amount of time to chat in-between sessions.

CvCC provides an excellent learning opportunity for sustainability executives from all backgrounds - think tanks, NGOs, corporates, etc. This year's conversations about how companies are getting more involved in climate policy was very inspiring.
Leisha John - Director of Environmental Sustainability - EY
I found the conference provided some incredible insight and details into the movement within business to take on Climate Change. At a time when U.S. government leadership is struggling in this area, it was reaffirming and encouraging to see how insightful businesses are taking sustainability seriously and forging into new territory.
Joe Snider - Owner - Joe Snider Consulting
Of the many sustainability/corporate responsibility conferences I've been to, I enjoy the not-too- large-not-too-small size of CvCC. Talented and smart attendees who all want to make an impact in our future. Well organized and informational, as well.
Barbra Anderson - Founding Partner - Destination Better
My favorite part of the conference? Difficult to pick just one! Loved hearing what larger and small companies are doing to combat CC, loved the conversations held among like-minded individuals, networking, learning.
Dan Kriger Corporate Responsibility - Sykes Enterprises
What I liked about this conference is that the audience size is more moderate and manageable, so participants really get the chance to ask questions and have some back and forth with the presenters/panelists. As a representative of local government, it was fascinating and very valuable for me to hear what types of sustainability issues my private sector counterparts are dealing with. I also liked some of the presentations so much that I will recommend the speakers for a conference that we are putting on next year. The food was also excellent, with lots of vegetarian options, which was a pleasant surprise.
Jacqueline Drumheller - Sustainability Manager - Alaska Airlines
The Companies vs. Climate change conference brings together key, passionate environmental leaders from around the world to tackle perhaps one of the greatest challenges mankind has ever faced. It was an excellent experience to learn from, network and come together with brilliant minds to discuss concrete strategies and execution plans to combat climate change. We at Emerald Brand are proud to be a part of the CVC community.
Ralph Bianculli Jr., LEED GA - Managing Director - Emerald Brand
As a representative of local government, it was fascinating and valuable for me to hear about the sustainability challenges my private sector counterparts experience and how they identify opportunities, communicate, and strategize with their C-Suite to achieve greater sustainability within their respective companies. Thank you again!

“The quality of the speakers and presentations mimicked what you'd expect at a conference with thousands of attendees, but the intimate size of the audience at CvCC17 allowed for even better discussions between those on stage and those who came to learn. I can't wait for CvCC18!”
Marissa Rosen - Owner Climate Social
The CvCC conference presents a unique and privileged opportunity to engage with industry sustainability leaders in an intimate and dynamic professional setting. The conversation consistently focused on what companies and organizations are currently (and collectively) doing to combat climate change, and always with an emphasis on finding solutions rather than fixating on the challenges. The conference hosted lively speakers, attentive attendees, forward-thinking conversations, and delicious food. I look forward to continuing the conversation in 2018.
Brittany Szczepanik - Senior Project Manager, Sustainability at NSF International
Companies vs. Climate Change is a unique event with its emphasis on the impact of Climate Change on business. The event has established a focused community which brings depth to the conversation in a pointed way not normally found at similar events. Personally, I am very much looking forward to next year's event to expand on the conversation, build on existing relationships and create new ones. I highly recommend attendance to any organization wishing to dive deep into the impact of Climate Change on their business.
Michael Malara - Key Account Manager at South Pole
What really sets CvCC apart from some of the other conferences in the space is the intimacy of the event. I really appreciate that attendees aren’t rushed between dozens of breakouts, but are all part of the same insightful discussions led by respected business leaders throughout the week.
Jeff Ashelford - Corporate Partnerships Manager at Arbor Day Foundation

The variety both of delegates and topics covered in presentations and panel discussions made for a more holistic perspective of addressing the challenges organizations face, which accurately represented the field of sustainability – a complex and intertwined network of stakeholders that is not always easy to navigate. It was also great to have sufficient time to have more in-depth discussions with participants, something that is difficult to achieve at larger conferences with a less intimate setting.

I am very glad I was part of the first European Companies vs Climate Change Conference in Brussels. Professionally organized 3-days conference, with a good mixture of frontrunning companies, consultants and NGOs. What defined this event for me was chemistry, people were open to challenge, were curious and everyone just wanted to talk. Climate change is so politically charged, is great to be at an event shaped by empathy, listening and curiosity.

First of all thank you for organising this event. As discussed personally shortly before leaving: -strong points of the event: Ø It brought together a broader range than only RE100 companies Ø Very strong and inspiring best practices. Ø I appreciated your involvement in bringing people together Ø The subjects were broad and not concentrated on 1 sustainability aspect: something interesting for everyone!

Climate change is affecting all of us, companies, governments and consumers alike. Collective action and awareness of how we can implement solutions is absolutely key to keeping the temperature increase below 1,5 degrees C. CvCC is a great platform for sharing knowledge on exactly this, and I was happy to engage with the audience on our journey towards ZERO carbon footprint as our breweries. My hope is that through initiatives such as CvCC, more companies will join Carlsberg Group in the fight to solve climate change.
Simon Boas Hoffmeyer, Sustainability Director at Carlsberg Group

Wow - firstly huge congratulations on a very successful first event in Europe! I hope you are really pleased and proud with what you delivered and who you got in the room. I took away so much from the event, contacts, learnings and inspiration - what more could you ask for? Plus a fantastic trip in beautiful Brussels. Thank you very much. For the first event in Europe you had some fantastic speakers there. The information they provided was valuable and the opportunity to meet these people after has been really useful for me and the other people in the room.
